Despite the small numbers of enrollments, the Board members, families and staff were convinced that Christian College was a desirable addition to the educational landscape in the Geelong region. An s enrollments grew, the opportunity to purchase the buildings and playing fields at Highton arose in 1987. Christian College then became a pilot school for the introduction of VCR studies, ens Turing that students c Gould have the advantages of Pei Ag at one school for studies from Kinder to Year 12. This enabled our students to focus on specialist learning within an en vironment conducive to the rig ours of senior academic studies. While the entire student enrollment is now over 2,200 (including Williams House Kindergarten), we have recognized the optimum numbers of students at different campuses. This has facilitated the development of vibrant, effective learning at each stage of a child’s education. Student graduation and smooth transition from Junior School to Middle School to Senior School provides the excitement and resist of new beginnings, while tranquil maintaining the consistency and continuity of one school Christian College, Geelong.

The Q’ed Program for gifted and talented students has been developed as an integral portion of the Christian College total school model for teaching and learning. Annual visits between the schools are an integral portion of the Christian College Language programmed. Within the academic programmed, students have the opportunity to serve the community through a range of subjects offering practical experiences. When Children play in spontaneous environments, their play is more different with imaginative play that fosters language and collaborative skills. The Junior School provides each student with a sound base of skills and character development based on Christian values in preparation for the challenges of Middle School studies. Drysdale Middle School students enjoy a expansive range of core and voluntary subjects, which produce a huge base on which to construct and flourish into the Senior years of education. It is crucial for Bellarine students to be involved in community life and service in the local area. The Middle School programmed is both hard and different as we introduce a wide range of studies and encourage students to discover and thrive new talents and skills. Throughout the Junior years of schooling, the class teacher is the focal point for the student. The Christian College Senior School has established a vibrant and difficult environment for students to whole their end vital years of lesser education. This important focus gives the students a real life accepting of how the food cycle works. Christian College Geelong offers an education worth having one that educates beyond fair academic marks, developing the whole child by perfectly balancing concern and curriculum. The Christian College community has enjoyed a stuffed week of 4 Presentation Evenings for each campus. Awards were given out for academic, musical, sporting and character achievements. The students had to work in little groups to create an organization that helps either the local or global community. THANK YOU to parents, students and staff for all of their support. This year we had a fairly young side compared to other teams with one Year 9 students, six years 10’s and three years 12 students. It is only the first of the year but already Christian College sporting teams have has an excellent start to the competitions. Junior School families came together recently on a sunny summer night to celebrate the begin of another exciting school year. All students have unchanging into their fresh year levels and commencement services have been held throughout this week to welcome everyone back to Christian College. The Christian College community has enjoyed a full week of 5 Presentation Evenings for each campus. One of the highlights included a spectacular Rock Orchestra performance by College Staff and students performing 'Unstoppable'. The Resist is designed to inspire Year 10 students to examine Science and Engineering at a senior level. Christian College is a key provider of Christian based education in the Geelong and surrounding community.

Christian College owns and operates a fleet of 30 College buses, which transport nearly 900 students to and from the College campuses each day. Under the direction of Fleet Manager, Mr Peter Hayes, the bus fleet is regularly serviced with our competent mechanics under a quality outgoing preventative maintenance schedule. This is vital to ensure ongoing safety as healthy as to maintain the punctuality of route schedules. Buses are subject to annual mechanical audits carried out by Vic Roads Accredited Vehicle Safety Testing Agents, and our management maintenance systems have passed, with lofty standards, audits from the Department of Infrastructure. College bus drivers are chosen for their expertise, character and skill to relate to students of all ages. Senior student bus captains also assist the drivers to ensure that bus travelers use appropriate and sound behavior while traveling to and from the College. The College bus routes are encourage annually, taking into account routes that travel as close as is practicable to students’ homes, while ensuring the possible timing of the bus run. The Christian College uniform, both winter and summer, is a formal and customary uniform manufactured with quality materials. Within the wider community, our students have often been complimented on their appearance while in school uniform. The College school uniform and sports uniforms are required and consistent across all campuses as we foster students to wear it proudly to represent Christian College. Customary trading hours are subject to change, depending on demand. The Uniform Shop was established to produce a quality uniform for students at a reasonable cost to College families. Junior School Belmont and Christian College Bellarine have embarked on an exciting partnership with Camp Australia to add a further dimension to our commitment to our families. With both energetic and clever sessions from cooking and craft to mini Olympics, football, dance and drama the activity options are endless. They are one of the leading providers of Exterior School Hours Protection in Australia. While Camp Australia programs focus on smiles and having fun, they take very seriously the responsibility of caring for the maximum urgent person in your life your child. Staff are trained by the Registered Training organization, supported with routine professional development and concern about children’s needs, interests and healthy being. It is color coded so that families can distinguish events that involve each Campus or a combination of various campus groups.
