CDC Victoria is a key provider of essential transport services to millions of commuters across Victoria. ComfortDelGro (our parent company) is one of the largest land transport companies in the world, operating in seven countries with a fleet of 46,00 vehicles. Our customers can rely on us to deliver excellent service quality and recognize us as leaders in the industry. We offer extraordinary services that delivers premium value to our customers and clients, and we always strive to improve all that we do. We are committed to operational excellence, superior customer service, engaging the community we serve, being known as a great organization to labor in, and providing tall shareholder value. As providers of an essential public service, we take pride in providing a unique offering by being an economic, community aspiring social asset to every community in which we do business. Our strategic partnership with The whiten Project involves sponsorship of the project as healthy as a hand son role that allows CDC Victoria to interact directly with students, to educate and promote appropriate behavior within our community. Their labor involves uniformed patrol of CDC buses to engage with youth groups in order to encourage good behavior on board our buses. Once a small, grass roots organization providing a handful of scholarships, Western Chances now raises nearly 1 million a year to help talented and motive young people across Melbourne’s west to accomplish their dreams by providing funding for small items that have a large impact. The subsequent year it acquired the business and riches of Toronto Bus Services, in the Newcastle region. It will yield the greatest seating capacity on the network and will service Melbourne's fastest growing Western region of Wyndham. CDC Victoria's SPaRCQ values are the core of what we believe in. It is the essence of our organization’s identity and defines who we are to both our inside and outer stakeholders. CDC Victoria's SPaRCQ values were determined by our Executive Team, taking into account feedback from our team members and our community partners. This policy applies to all employees and passengers on CDC Victoria bus services in relation to the sound access and transport of passengers with Mobility Aids. Mobility Help is a device designed to be impaired to aid movement of a person and in this policy includes a Wheelchair, Electric Scooter, Pram or Stroller. The bus driver is required to apply these rules, and also to take into account the needs of people who have limited mobility (whether or not they are using a Mobility Aid), who are delicate or have some disability, and those who are using Prams and Strollers. Bus drivers are generally required to remain in the driver’s seat to ensure the safety and security of the bus, however they will aid a passenger by extending the close ramp when required. CDC Victoria is committed to providing safe, cozy and steadfast transport for passengers, but being a passenger also carries some obligations. If passengers are already seated in the folding seats in the designated wheelchair space, the wheelchair user takes priority. Where a bus driver is asked for assistance by a wheelchair user carer, other than lowering the bus or extending wheelchair ramp, the driver may provide assistance to passengers entering or leaving the bus if the driver is physically capable and qualified to bear assistance in a safe manner. At all times, passengers with Prams or Strollers must ensure that the aisle and entry depart areas of the bus are not obstructed. Any collapsed Prams or Strollers must be stowed safety in between the seats of the bus. Be capable to withstand acceleration, braking, cornering and pitching of buses.
