For more than 20 years now Back to Basics has been making some of the planet’s most instinctive and environmentally responsible products shampoos and conditioners, natural hand washes and bubble bath, skin care, our extensive range of essential and massage oils and our pioneering green cleaning products. Our first products were developed to assist people who, for various reasons, were sensitive to the chemicals, artificial coloring and fragrances and other nastier found in many of the products we use on a daily basis. From day one, Back to Basics has taken an all spontaneous approach, using plant based ingredients coupled with our extensive knowledge of essential oils to create products that are not only sound for everyone to use they’re effective too. We soon found that products that are safer and more human sociable are also friendlier for the environment, so we pioneered a range of cleaning products that were green healthy earlier that concept had entered the mainstream. We were also one of the beginning companies to encourage the reuse of our containers, offering refill services in both Geelong and Williams town and selling to other outlets in bulk so they could do the same. You can find our products in many outlets that share the equivalent natural goals as we do, including Friends of the Earth, The Green store, The Environment Shop, Ceres (the center for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies) and some 50 autonomous retail outlets such as health food and organic stores around Australia. And now we’re on the web too!
